As always, knowing who is interested in competing is fundamental to planning our team and some of you have already let Chris know that you’re available to take part – everyone else:-
Please let Chris James know whether or not you would like to compete for the club in this match as soon as you can – Chris will be drafting out the team by Thursday evening this week, so please let him know (either way!) by this time.
This match does includes non-scoring athletes (as well as scoring), so EVERYONE (Club members Y6 to Y9) are invited to take part – up to 3 events each plus relay.
We are planning to meet up as team at Westminster Lodge (look out for our large distinctive blue & yellow canopy) by 11.00am (if possible) in order to confirm events, hand out numbers etc.
First event starts at 11:45 with the relays being the final events just before 17:00.
Those who need to arrive a little later or leave earlier than 17:00 due to other commitments (which is fine), please let Chris or Tim Higman know, in case changes need to be made to the schedule of who’s doing which event.
Parents we need you help on the day!!:-
- Help with pitching up the large team canopy from 9.30am or putting them away at c4.45pm – this is a relative simply fold out affair, although it does take at least three people to pull it all out at once and then various panels attaching.
- Assistance with manning the “Tea tent” where we will be selling hot and cold drinks and light snacks - for an hour or two would be really helpful.
- Help with Officiating (no training required)
- General help
