Results for the U13 Herts Challenge held last Wednesday 20th June are now in the Results area of the club website.

Congratulations to James McMurray who was invited to take part in last weekends Olympic Trials in Birmingham. Several of us made the trip to the Alexander Stadium where on Friday James took part in one of 4 heats in the 1500m. It was an experience in itself to be in the warm up area with  top athletes from the past Steve Cram , gold winning potential athletes Mo and the younger athletes coming through Jess Judd and James!! We were also very aware of the enormity of these trials for athletes most of whom had worked so hard for 4 years to be selected for team GB. James was in the second heat where he executed an intelligent race and powered home to overtake several athletes on the last 150mts. Taking part in middle distance senior championship races is a learning process and after every race whether or not you have a good result or not you will certainly come away with valuable experience and hopefully not too many spike injuries's!!

Please see the Results area of the club website for the results (Scoring and Non-scoring) for this match.
